Qandace Samuels is poised for a break out senior year

Qandace Samuels is a five-star basketball recruit from District Heights Maryland, where she attends Bishop McNamara High School ranked number 10 nationally in the SportsCenter Next 100 for the class 2027. Qandace is also ranked number 2 in the state of Maryland in her class. Qandace is a 6-foot-1 wing/power forward who prides herself on mastering multiple positions on the court. I can attest to this as i seen her play in person in the WCAC 2026 playoffs where she shined in a blowout victory. What stood out to me was her on ball defensive presence and rebounding ability in the post which reminded me of Angel Reese. Now on the offensive end she was very smooth and polished with her fundamentals and you can tell she spends extra time in the gym working on her game. What i seen as a separation factor for Qandace was her personality and tenacity which i seen her teammates feed off of which is a great characteristic of a leader. Qandace plays on the AAU circuit in the Nike EYBL which has the toughest competition for team takeover. Qandace went off against exodus in round one of the brackets for 26 points. Qandace comes from a family full a true hoopers and that is an understatement. Qandace older sister Qadence won a national championship at the University of Connecticut before transferring to NC State. Qwanzi the oldest of them all plays professionally overseas. However right now Qandace and her older brother Qayden Samuels which the latter has committed to play division 1 basketball at the Alabama Crimson Tide could be the best in the family. But wait there’s more says her two little sisters Alana Rodriguez and Qaylynn Samuels who has already appeared in Sports Illustrated as a twelve-year-old. The time is now for Qandace Samuels in her upcoming senior season at the illustrious Bishop McNamara where she will look to win her third straight championship.
